Toronto Island Beach and Bike Trip
Yesterday, we rode our bikes down to the ferry and hopped on the Hanlan Island Ferry. From there we cycled past the clothing optional beach and enjoyed the sun at Gibraltar Beach instead. Jeff didn't want to see the naked gay guys I guess. The kids were amazing in the chariot even though they were bored and crammed in there with their helmets on. They sang songs and told people to get out of my way. My legs were toast by the end of the trip but it was really fun and relaxing. We rode through the neighbourhood to check out the houses on the island and it's incredible that people actually live on that island year round. There are no real rides because people own a boat to get back and forth from the mainland. The best part of the day though was collecting pebbles along the water with the kids. I asked them to pick up the really special pebbles and put them in the hat. Of course I'm looking for cool colours and interesting spotted rocks, but the kids would pick up any rock and screamed with delight, "Look at this one!" Unlike me, they saw that every single stone was interesting and needed to pick collected. We forgot those stones at the beach. Reid realized this on the ride back home cried for his beautiful pebble collection. They are both angels.
