Horses were the lawn maintenance crew, so the kids got to see the horses up close and personal. They're pretending to be sad for some reason.
The salt water was salty and the waves were pretty high sometimes, but Reid dove in there anyways!
Reid rode this horse with no one leashed to him or any help whatsoever! The ranger tied him tightly to the saddle and Reid looked totally at ease up there. Such a cool sight!
Jeff rode a horse for the first time. It was really peaceful. But, I felt bad for them. The ranger never once had to tell us where to go because the horses knew the one hour trail so well they didn't need steering. They were what they call "twice broke" horses.
Thanks to a video surveillance monitor Jeff bought. He and I were able to enjoy ourselves in the evening after bed time and at nap time by the pool. We had lots of relaxing alone time and were able to watch the kids on the monitor without having to worry about them.
Haha. See what I mean?
Laila would say, "Aww. Look at the horsies."
Laila was a hit on this trip! Old people would come from every corner of the resort to see her dance when they invited the kids for the kid games. Old ladies were asking to take photos with her. People were telling us how cute she was all day long. On the plane, the flight attendant put gloves on her and had her help collect the garbage. She was a doll the whole time. I think she loved the freedom of having very little clothes on and being able to play anywhere she wanted.
They loved ordering Shirley Temples and Orange Pop from the bartenders. They would chug them and then Reid would have to pee every 5 minutes. We told him to pee in the pool, so the poor guy would run across the pool deck every 5 minutes to pee in the toilet.
Again. What a guy.
We hired a babysitter one morning so we could go for a run. They did face painting.
Laila and Reid fed this iguana pieces of bread. They called him Izza and would look for him constantly.
Jeff was the funnest dad in the whole joint! Kids would flock to him in the pool so that they could play with him and Laila and Reid. Every one loved to be rolled up in that raft and thrown in the air.
Running from a wave.
He's got 3 cups and 3 straws. He drank all of the liquid that was inside of them.
Aww. Cuban coffee, happy kids and sunshine.
We had such a great time. Best vacation ever!
