This is a class picture of Reid's last day at a Parks and Recreation class he was attending every Monday morning. He made a crown and got a diploma. He enjoyed the class more and more each week. His favourite part was when she sang, " Hands on head, hands on head, everybody hands on head. Time to tidy up, tidy up, everybody tidy up right now." He would be delighted when I sang this at home and would put his hands on his head and walk around the house. At the class he never, ever put his hands on his head. Not once. And he absolutely never tidied up. All the other kids would stand close to the teacher in circle time and listen to her rhymes or songs and Reid would run into the play room and I'd have to get him back. The last class, though, he actually participated by going up to the teacher and holding an alphabet cue card for her. He squished it a bit, but he actually participated. Next one will begin in the fall and maybe he'll be even more keen by then.
