Reid saw his first movie yesterday! We caught the GO Train and rushed to St. Lawrence Market for the 10:30 Misty Island Rescue Thomas the Tank Engine movie only to find out it was sold out. After some debate we went for brunch and then tried again at the 12 o'clock showing. We had very low expectations. We knew it would be asking a lot for a toddler to sit for the full hour during his nap time, however Reid sat on Daddy's lap the entire time. He was pretty sleepy but that didn't stop him from saying, " Yaay!" when the usher asked us if we were excited and "Oh no!" when cars loaded with wood fell into the ravine. He snuggled into Daddy's lap, held onto James and watched that entire movie. We were so pleased that we went back and tried again. It is really amazing how enjoyable it was to see a cheesy movie through his eyes. Jeff and I were teary eyed seeing his joy as he ran across the cinema entrance to the Thomas movie poster. He just kept yelling, "Whoa!!!!" and pointing to a poster. What an absolutely perfect family day!
