New toys make everything alright. A truck bedspread helps too!
Jeff looks more excited than Reid during the reveal!
Pure joy after his nap! He's got both hands filled with trains! He loves the decals along the chair rail. He points to them and says the different engines names, ex."Toba" for Toby.
He kept tucking the bear into bed saying, "hug" and then piling blankets on teddy and laying on the pile.
Hooray! The new bedroom and new bed are a big success! We had a huge reveal yesterday morning. When he woke up we brought him into his new room and told him to look at all the trains. He walked around and said, "Whoa!" and "Wow! and "Chooka, chooka". He opened up several new train toys from us and Grandpa and Grandma and didn't want to leave. At nap time I told him he was going to sleep in his new bed and laid him down without any fight at all. He had a great nap, but was very upset when he woke up and couldn't open the door. Last night at bedtime there were some tears. We had to go up four times and reassure him that we were both home and that he needed to go to sleep. He slept all night and then walked out of his room this morning happy. Nap time today he figured out that he could walk out of his room and followed me out crying. I marched him right back in, made him get into bed himself and told him no more crying it's sleepy time. I only did it once and he has been sleeping for an hour now. Once he realizes that coming out of his room only gets him marched back into bed, I can't imagine why he would keep doing after awhile. Let's hope tonight is as good as last night or better.
